The annual meeting location was moved to 2804 169 Avenue SE in the neighborhood due to heavy rain
(Thank you, Michael!). The meeting was called to order by President, John Raffetto. Officers of the
Board introduced themselves, followed by all members introducing themselves. Secretary noted that
quorum was met. John explained that the prior President, Perry England, resigned due to the sale of his
home. John is filling the role of President for one year, which leaves his prior position of Vice President
open. Ann Lanning is resigning from the Secretary position. The Board will be filling the open positions of
Vice President and Secretary. Merrilee motioned to nominate Athena Boyer to the Board. Brenda
Giordano seconded the motion. A vote by the membership passed unanimously.
Dues will be $175 this year and are due by June 1st.
David reviewed the Financial Statement. Back dues have been collected. Repairs to the Gate Lock System and a bathroom plumbing issue were the highest repair expenses. Also noted was the decision to put $10,000 of cash reserve in a 7-month CD. John explained that a cash reserve is being built up in order to be prepared for any major capital improvements required in the future. The board decided to raise dues this year from $150 to $175. It was suggested to consider a reserve study.
A discussion followed about work completed and purchases made. 2 paddleboards and several life vests have been added, the electronic lock system has been upgraded, and a new integrated recordkeeping system has been implemented. John stated that we are open to ideas and suggestions from members for purchases or improvements to the beach club. Scott Mahnken proposed that a handrail be added to the walkway inside the gate that leads to the property. This suggestion was well received and noted as an improvement for this year. The need for an inventory of all watercrafts was discussed and John and Orien agreed to complete this inventory with recommendations to follow.
Ongoing actions items were discussed. Hubert and Ariane Ogier will continue to manage maintenance at the beach club. Weekly cleaning and checking of supplies will be completed by their daughter. Roger Childs continues to sort and remove trash from property. Orien’s sons will continue daily security checks and water plants in the summer. Plans are in place to add paddleboats and kayaks this year. Meeting adjourned at 8:17 pm.
Respectfully submitted, Ann Lanning
